Interpreter SYSTEMSInterpreter System Central Unit The Interpreter System Central Unit IS6CU is a compact interpreter unit corresponding to the international standard ISO2603. The IS6CU supplies up to 6 interpreter booths, where a maximum of 3 interpreter units can be connected to one language per interpreter booth. The internal audio matrix administers the original signal, the 6 foreign languages and the talk back channel from the interpreter to the chairman of the function. The operating elements are designed for comfort and practice, they compromise all the necessary functions. The operating staff is clearly informed about the operating state of the interpreting system via the numerous displays. The original channel can be adjusted to all levels via gain control as well as adjusted to the current requirements corresponding to the volume via the main volume control. The operating segments for the administration of the interpreter units (languages) are equipped with a volume control and also with a channel occupancy display, an active display and a display giving information about the use of the talk back channel. Interpreter Unit The interpreter unit IS6IU in its attractively shaped, heavy metal housing corresponds to the international standard ISO2603. It encompasses an electret microphone with lamp to display to be ready to speak on a 8 x 300mm gooseneck and is further equipped with a big microphone switch with separate large surface LED display, a cough switch for short speaking breaks as well as a button "Service call" (according to ISO 2603), with which the speaker can be signalled to speak more slowly, while the microphone is simultaneously turned up. For more information see Interpreter System Central Unit IS6IU technical data. Two – Way Communication Headset The ISHS01 is a two – way communication headset with an electret microphone. Its minimal weight enables a long using time especially when being used by interpreters. The microphone is connected to a completely flexible plastic gooseneck and, thus, can be individually arranged. In addition, the angle of inclination can be adjusted by a rotating joint on the left speaker. To improve transport, the microphone is folded up over the head piece and in this way decreases the storage space necessary. The ISHS01 has stereo headphones. Their open design enables the user to hear surrounding sounds even while wearing the headphones. The ear pieces are padded with foam material, the head piece is adjustable in small grid spacing but with wide angle. The attaching of the cable to one side only ensures comfortable handling.
